Workhouse International Ceramic Cup Show

These three wood fired sake cups were recently selected for exhibition in "Drink This! Workhouse International Ceramic Cup Show". This exhibition will showcase ceramic drinking vessels by contemporary artists around the globe. The focus of the exhibit is on the variety of ways artists explore the cup, in functional, sculptural, traditional and non-traditional forms. Juror Phil Rogers selected approximately 62 works from over 400 submissions. This show opens Wednesday,  January 07, 2015 and runs through  Monday, February 02, 2015. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 6-8 pm.  Workhouse Arts Center is located at 9601 Ox Road, Lorton, Virginia.

A Single Stem

These two wood fired bud vases were recently juried into A Single Stem: The Bud Vase. This exhibition is being held at The Studio Kiln and Gallery, 60 North Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama. The dates are December 5th - December 31st, 2014. An opening reception will be on the 5th from 6 pm - 8pm.

Seventh Annual Cup Show

This wood fired sake cup was recently selected to be exhibited in the 7th Annual Cup Show: Form and Function, being held at Gulf Coast State College, in the Amelia Center Gallery. Juried by Chandra DeBuse, this exhibition explores the idea of the drinking vessel, and focuess on function and concept, as well as its relation to history, politics, craft, technology, utility, and narrative. The exhibition encompasses the wide variety of approaches to contemporary ceramics through the lens of the most intimate and accessible vessel, the cup. It opens Monday, November 24th, and runs through Thursday, December 18th, 2014. A juror's lecture and opening reception will be held on December 5th. Contemporary Ceramics International Biennial

These wood fired pieces were juried into the 5th Contemporary Ceramics International Biennial: Expressions. This exhibition will be held at the Swope Art Museum's Halcyon Art Gallery, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Located at 25 South 7th Street, the show opens on Friday, October 3rd, and runs through December 26th, 2014. An opening reception will be held on October 3rd from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.

Cup: The Intimate Object X

These five wood fired sake cups will be included in Cup: The Intimate Object X. This invitational and juried exhibition is the tenth installment of Charlie Cummings Gallery's iconic annual cup show. This wood fired tea bowl was recently juried into The National Juried Bowl Show by juror Kevin Crowe. The exhibition will be held at the Academy of Fine Arts, 600 Main Street, Lynchburg, Virgina. Strictly Functional Pottery National

This wood fired sake pourer, or "katakuchi", was recently juried into the 22nd annual Strictly Functional Pottery National. A total of 107 pieces were selected for exhibition from nearly 900 entries by juror Christa Assad. This exhibition, presented by the Market House Craft Center,  runs September 20th to November 1st, 2014, with an opening reception being held on Friday, September 19th, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
