San Angelo National Ceramic Competition

The wood fired piece below, "Bud Vase", was recently chosen for exhibition into San Angelo Museum of Fine Art's 20th National Ceramic Competition. Juror Leopold Foulem selected 123 works from 764 pieces submitted. There will be an opening and awards reception on Friday, April 11th; this exhibition will be on display through June 29th, 2014. The San Angelo Museum of Fine Art is located at One Love Street, San Angelo, Texas.

14th Annual National Juried Cup Show

The wood fired sake cup shown below was recently selected for exhibition in Kent State University's 14th Annual National Juried Cup Show. Juried by Jake Allee, this exhibition will be held at Kent State University School of Art's Downtown Gallery, 141 East Main Street, Kent, Ohio. The exhibition runs from March 13th through April 5th, 2014. Gallery hours are Wednesday - Friday, 12-5 PM, and Saturday, 10-4 PM. Phone:(330) 676-1549.

National Juried Ceramics Exhibition

The following two wood fired sake cups were accepted into an exhibition hosted by the University of North Florida Gallery of Art. Juried by Bede Clarke, these are two of 47 works selected from 245 pieces submitted. The exhibition runs from March 04 through April 18, 2014, and there is an opening reception on March 6th, 5pm-7pm. The UNF Gallery of Art is located in Founders Hall, 1 UNF Drive, Jacksonville, FL.

Juried by Doug Peltzman, this show, open to the public, will be from March 10th through April 2nd, 2014. 16th International Chawan Expo

I have been invited to exhibit in the 16th International Chawan Expo. Founded and curated by Lou Smeldts (Germany), this year's exhibition is being held in Singapore, in the Teochew Building, 97 Tank Road, from September 6th - 14th. Workhouse International Ceramic Cup Show

This wood fired and reduction cooled sake cup, shown below, was recently selected for exhibition in "Drink This! Workhouse International Ceramic Cup Show". This exhibition will showcase ceramic drinking vessels by contemporary artists around the globe. The focus of the exhibit is on the variety of ways artists explore the cup, in functional, sculptural, traditional and non-traditional forms. Juror Sam Chung selected 70 works from over 400 submissions. This show opens Wednesday, January 8, 2014 and runs through Sunday, February 2, 2014. Workhouse Arts Center is located at 9601 Ox Road, Lorton, Virginia.
