The Nevica Project: Chicago, IL

The Joy of Drinking

These two wood fired sake cups were recently juried into The Joy of Drinking. This show runs July 17th - August 18th, 2014, and is being exhibited at Phoenix Fired Art Gallery, 1603 S. Main, Joplin, MO. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, July 17th at 5:30 pm.

Shapes of Influence: Contemporary Ceramics

The following two wood fired pieces were recently accepted for exhibition in Shapes of Influence: Contemporary Ceramics. This international ceramics exhibition, juried by Harris Deller, will be shown at the M. G. Nelson Gallery. Part of the Springfield Art Association, the location is 700 N. 4th Street, Springfield, IL. This show runs July 18th - September 09th, with an opening reception slated for July 18, 5:30 - 7:30 PM. Small Favors IX

This wood fired and reduction-cooled sake vessel was recently selected for Small Favors IX, an exhibition being shown at The Clay Studio, in Philadelphia, PA. This invitational and juried show runs Friday, May 02 - Sunday, June 01, 2014.

 
Conceived of in 2006, Small Favors grew out The Studio's efforts to offer accessible, high-quality artworks that appeal to art enthusiasts of all ages. For older collectors who are challenged for space it allows them to continue to collect work by artists they love. For young art collectors it provides an accessible entry point. the works exhibited are incredibly varied in material, form, and aesthetics.

Though small in scale, the artworks created for this exhibition are huge in impact. Each work is exhibited in a Plexiglas wall mounted cube.

The Clay Studio is located at 137 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA,

Contemporary Clay Biennial

These two wood fired sake cups were selected by juror Jim Romberg for the Contemporary Clay 2014 Exhibition, being held at Western Colorado Center for the Arts, May 16 – June 21, 2014. Sixty seven pieces were selected for the exhibition from 235 submissions. There will be a reception and awards ceremony on Friday, June 6, 2014, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The address is 1803 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction, CO.

6th Annual Juried Cup Show

The wood fired sake cup shown below was recently selected for exhibition in LUX Center for the Arts Sixth Annual Juried Cup Show. Juried by Ted Adler, this show will run from Friday, April 4th through Saturday, May 31st, 2014. An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 4th, 5:00 - 8:00 pm. LUX Center for the Arts is located in the historic University Place at 2601 N. 48th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.
