New Website

After contemplating a new website for the past year or two, I have finally made the change. My old website is now defunct, and I have a newly designed one at   www.lucienkoonce.com   Please take a look at it and provide me with feedback if there are issues that make it difficult to view and navigate.

Yunomi Invitational 2013

AKAR Gallery, located in Iowa City, Iowa, is hosting their 6th Annual Yunomi Invitational. The wood fired pieces shown below are my selections that will be included in this year's exhibition. It is an invitational that features 200 ceramicists, each providing 5 yunomi. Traditionally, a yunomi (Japanese) is a form of tea cup which is used in daily, or informal, tea drinking. AKAR hosts this show on-line, and the work can be viewed and purchased through their website. You have to be registered to "log in" for making purchases, but not to view the yunomi. This exhibition runs April 19 - May 17. On-line purchasing begins at 10:00 AM, CST, on the 19th (April). AKAR's web site is http://www.akardesign.com/
